Cranswick Pet Products educate local primary schools with VIP ‘tweetment’

Driffield based company, Cranswick Pet Products, the UK's leading manufacturer of feed and accessories for the wild bird market have been working closely with local primary school pupils to educate them about the importance of wild bird care.

On 2nd July 2010, pupils from Driffield Junior School were invited to attend a presentation and tour of Cranswick Pet Products' state of the art manufacturing facilities. The pupils, aged between 7 and 11, were treated to a fun and educational presentation about the importance of wild bird feeding, what best to feed and the optimum feeding methods.

The pupils were also fascinated to find out that certain feed types are appealing to specific species of wild birds, therefore by supplying assorted feed ranges you are more likely to attract a wider variety of birds whilst also keeping them fit, healthy and flying high!

VIP Tweetment

Putting their new found knowledge in to practice students created their own individual mixes to take home in a free wild bird feeder, allowing them to enjoy and experience bird wild life in their own gardens.

Donning hard hats and high visibility vests our budding young ‘twitchers' were also thrilled to be given a free VIP tour of the factory, providing them with a special insight in to behind the scenes factory life.

Rachael Dickinson, Marketing Manager comments, ‘Due to increased urbanisation, more and more natural habitats, essential for the welfare of wildlife, are diminishing. By educating children on the importance of wild bird care, making it fun and exciting, we hope that pupils will continue the hobby outside of the classroom.'
