Cranswick Pet Products’ investment in a newly built office and warehouse complex, opened in 2005, has been a significant step forward for the company.

The two main sites make up 130,000 sq foot of manufacturing and storage space, where over 1000 tonnes of Cranswick’s 300 plus products are produced per week across 3 high capacity production lines.

The facilities include state of the art mill equipment, as well as cleaning and blending facilities, and many bespoke items of machinery developed to perfectly suit our particular products and activities. The on site sampling laboratory forms part of the stringent quality management systems put in place and managed by our dedicated quality department.

The Cranswick site has the bulk storage capacity for over 800 tonnes, across 7000 racking spaces, representing a distinct advantage for our customers in continuity and reliability of supply.

We also promote waste recycling and carbon footprint reduction, by moving to recyclable packaging, and implementing measures to ensure every staff member is as environmentally conscientious as possible.

There are approximately 70 manufacturing staff and 30 office staff employed full time by the business, and our efforts and investment in staff development saw us awarded as ‘Investors in People’ in March 2008.

The company is also currently working towards BRC accreditation, working closely with the adjudicators to set parameters for pet food manufacturing heretofore unspecified, showing Cranswick’s forward thinking and determination for the most quality of products, practices and service.
